In "twenty words or less" it is about fashion and skill.  My idea was to have contest that had both.

Anime has several manga and manga adapted to TV feature maids so I thought it would have a good general appeal.  The event would be broken into two parts.

The first part is pretty a standard fashion show in that three judges would look at each contestant and rate each costume on specific judging points such as accuracy to a manga character or use of material.  Keep in mind this is NOT COSPLAY.  I do not want to take away from the spirit or intent of any main event.  It is only a way to create score.

 
The second part would be a small demonstration of skill.  To reiterate, this is NOT COSPLAY.  The maid would have to demonstrate moving some items between two tables closely setting next to each other.  This portion is timed.  It could be possible a person could win the costume portion but not win the skill portion.  It may be that the same person wins both.
